Season 11's leveling has a funny kind of whiplash. You log in, you expect that old early-game snap, and… it's not there. No free pile of skill points at level 1 means your first few fights can feel like you're swinging a wet noodle. So yeah, drop the ego and start on Normal; it's faster than face-planting on a higher tier. If you want to smooth the gearing hiccups, I've seen people mention buy game currency or items in u4gm when they're trying to stay on pace with u4gm D4 items without wasting half a night.

Get set up before you start sprinting
Do the boring stuff first, because it pays you back. Pick one leveling build and commit for a while. Constant respecs feel "creative," but they burn gold and time. Grab a pet right away so you're not doubling back for materials. Then head to Nahantu for a follower; Subo's a great pick while leveling since the extra marking makes it easier to keep moving instead of scanning every corner. The goal is simple: fewer stops, fewer "wait, where was that thing," more killing.

    Season Journey comes before XP
This is where a lot of players trip up. You'll be tempted to chase raw XP, but your real power is tied to Seasonal Journey ranks now. Knock out Tier 1 objectives as soon as you can so your build actually works. After that, settle into Helltides. Density's solid, events chain nicely, and you'll pick up whispers along the way. If you roll the seasonal power that makes maggots drop XP orbs, lean into it. It's weird, but it's quick. And if you've got Baleful Hearts, use them to summon Duriel when it fits your route for the seasonal boosts.

    Capstones are the new checkpoints
In past seasons you could sometimes dodge Capstones for a bit. Not here. Aim for the first Capstone around level 30, and don't overthink it. Clearing it isn't just a difficulty unlock; it opens up the next layer of Journey progress, which loops back into more strength and more skill points. From 30 to 60, keep a steady rotation: Helltide chests, whispers, and any event that's already popping. If you've got Infernal Horde compasses, run them. If you're sick of red skies, Undercity breaks the monotony. Strongholds can be decent once you're closer to 50, but only if you can clear them cleanly without slowing down.

Keep your pace, not your pride
The whole trick this season is momentum. If a route feels slow, it probably is. Don't "test" five different skills every ten minutes, and don't jump difficulties just to prove a point. Get your Journey ranks, keep farming where the mobs are thick, and push the second Capstone when your damage stops feeling like a struggle. If you're topping off crafts or planning a long Helltide loop, it can help to diablo 4 runes so you're spending more time playing and less time scraping for the last missing piece.
