Path of Exile 3.27 changed how you reset your passive tree, and the change matters. The update added a one-click full passive tree reset that costs a small amount of gold. Before you press the reset button you must handle the immediate risks. Make sure you have the gold for the reset. Unequip or remove any auras and skill gems that need attributes from the passive tree so they do not become unusable. Identify which clusters near your start point give the most survival—usually life or energy shield and a few nearby resistance nodes. Keep a list of those clusters in order, and then have any cheap gear or flasks ready to help while you reassign points. When the tree is cleared, add the critical defensive nodes first, then the main offense nodes, and last the small utility nodes and masteries.
Execute the reset with a clear order and stay calm while you rebuild. Talk to the hooded NPC or the vendor that offers the reset option, pay the gold, and use the one-click reset. Pick the survival nodes first, then your damage path, and finally the extra travel or efficiency nodes. If you planned a full change, accept that some playtime will be slower until the important nodes come online.
The gold cost is small when you compare it with using many Orbs of Regret or selling valuable items. Saving your best buy PoE 1 Currency is a real benefit. Those high-value items trade far better than the few gold coins the reset costs. Use the new reset to test new ideas and to react to the reworks to masteries and clusters. Still, do not rush. Careful planning keeps your mapping and bossing going with minimal downtime.
