The Senate on Wednesday, February 21, kicked against the removal of electricity subsidy and plans by the Ministry of Power to approve the proposed hikes in electricity tariff by Distribution companies.
The upper chamber said that the government, rather than increasing electricity tariffs, should focus on electricity generation and distribution.
