Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday dismissed a three-day ceasefire announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “manipulative” move, accusing Moscow of attempting to shape the narrative of the ongoing conflict for its own benefit. In his daily address via X, Zelensky criticised the timing of the proposed truce, which is set to run from May 8 to 10 to coincide with Russia’s World War II Victory Day commemorations.
