To this day, the sports industry in Nigeria remains a symbol of wastage, corruption, and missed opportunities, evident in the exorbitant sums spent on hosting mega sporting events over the past three decades. However, unlike in other countries where such investments yield significant benefits, Nigeria's sports infrastructure remains inadequate and neglected.
