UPDATE: Locals initially reported a helicopter crash early Monday in Taimi village, near Rigachikun, close to the Nigerian Air Force Air Training Centre in Mando. However, Nigerian Air Force spokesman Edward Gabkwet clarified that it was an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), not a helicopter, and confirmed that there were no casualties on board or on the ground.
