What is the MLS?

The Multiple Listing Service (MLS) is a regional database that markets residential or commercial properties for sale to certified property representatives. Each area has an unique MLS that is utilized by regional realty representatives and is just accessible to these agents. Once listed on your regional MLS, your residential or commercial property may feed (depending on location) to numerous national property websites, such as Realtor.com, Zillow, Trulia, Yahoo and more. The exposure you receive on the MLS is tremendous! (Countless property representatives through your local MLS and millions of possible buyers through the web.)

How does the MLS plan work?

Once you sign-up for the MLS Package, the listing broker for your area will email you the extra paperwork needed by the MLS. Once the kinds have been sent back to the listing broker, the residential or commercial property is listed and appointed a MLS number. The listing broker will note your residential or commercial property on your local MLS for six months and at that point the service is offered and there are no refunds. Once listed in the MLS, you will be accountable for provings, extra marketing, open homes, settlements, and so on. Please click your state on the map for full details in your location.

When will my MLS listing post on Realtor.com and the other websites?

In most areas, your MLS listing will feed through to Realtor.com and the other websites within 1-3 business days after being active in the MLS. Realtor.com pulls restricted information from the MLS and in some cases takes a couple of days to pull the photo. The listing agent has no control over how long it takes to feed through to Realtor.com. Also, certain residential or commercial property types will not feed through to all of the websites.
