American R&B singer Chris Brown on Friday pleaded not guilty in a UK court to further charges stemming from an alleged London nightclub brawl in 2023.

Fans of the singer, who is in the middle of an international tour, packed the public gallery at London’s Southwark Crown Court.

The Federal Road Safety Corps has confirmed two persons dead and 10 injured in an auto crash that occurred along Ringim-Kano Road, in the Ringim Local Government Area of the state.

The FRSC Sector Commander, Mr. Umar Mas’ud, told newsmen in Dutse, the state capital, on Friday that the incident, which involved two Volkswagen cars, was caused by overspeeding and wrongful overtaking.

The Lagos State House of Assembly has moved to improve landlord-tenant relations as the state’s Tenancy Bill passed the second reading stage on Thursday.

During plenary, Speaker Mudashiru Obasa said the bill aimed to redefine the legal framework for tenancy agreements, rights, responsibilities, and eviction processes in Lagos.

The President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has doubted the possibility of the state-owned Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna refineries functioning again.

Dangote also stated that the refineries, which are under the management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, had gulped up to $18bn, yet have refused to work.

The Federal Government has expressed concern over the recent decision by the United States to impose tighter visa restrictions on Nigerian citizens, describing the move as disproportionate, calling for “reconsideration in the spirit of mutual respect and cooperation.”

This comes just as the United Arab Emirates imposed tougher entry conditions for Nigerian travellers, banning transit visa applications entirely.
